Black Forest Gift Shop is proud to present a range of original Hummel figurines, the distinctive, crafted porcelain gifts that make great souvenirs from Germany. These ceramic Hummel figurines are modelled on the early 20th-century sketches of children and local characters drawn by Sister Maria Innocentia Hummel, a Franciscan nun from Bavaria. They were adapted into porcelain by the German porcelain producer Franz Goebel in 1935 and are still made in the original ceramic factory in Rudental, Germany. The nuns of the Convent of Siessen, where sister M.I. Hummel lived and worked, continue to overseethe production and colourful hand-painting of these original figurines.
These charming Hummel figurines make superb gifts and collectibles and are available to buy online from Black Forest Gift Shop.
