Product Description
A traditional hand-carved and hand-painted Black Forest cuckoo clock that has an eight-day movement and plays music while the wooden cuckoo calls every half and full hour. Two famous tunes will delight you alternatingly: “In München steht ein Hofbräuhaus” (Munich Hofbräuhaus song) and “Trink Brüderlein Trink” (Drink Brother Drink). To keep the cuckoo quiet during the night, there is a manual night shutoff. This is one of our most popular medium-sized cuckoo clocks, measuring 12,6 x 15 x 8,7 inches (32 × 38 × 22cm).
This Black Forest cuckoo clock has an elaborately carved farmhouse like you find them in the Bavarian Alps. The whole scene transports you right to Bavaria, the beautiful south of Germany. On the balcony there are couples dressed in their colorful traditional costumes who start dancing every time the music plays, and also the mill wheel turns. On the right, there is the blue and white Bavarian flag featuring a portrait of king Ludwig II of Bavaria who is world famous for having built Neuschwanstein castle. The two men in their lederhosen are lifting their beer steins in memory of the “fairy king” whenever the music plays. The barrels next to them make sure they won’t run out of beer. You love Bavaria? Then this is the best cuckoo clock for you!
