This beautifully hand-carved and hand-painted Black Forest Cuckoo Clock Chalet Style has an eight-day movement and does not play music. The wooden cuckoo calls every half and full hour and there is a manual night shutoff. Measuring 16,5 x 15,7 x 8,3 inches (42 × 40 × 21cm), it is one of our larger cuckoo clocks.
Black Forest Cuckoo Clock Chalet Style Scene
In front of the Alpine style farmhouse with the traditional flower boxes on the meticulously carved balconies there is a farm hand chopping wood while a German shepherd dog watches him curiously. The young man is traditional dressed in lederhosen and a Tyrolean hat. Every time he hears the cuckoo call, he chops wood.
