This wonderful Black Forest cuckoo clock has an 8-day movement and plays music every full hour, delighting you with 2 tunes – “Edelweiss” and “The Cheerful Wanderer” which will play alternatingly. The cuckoo calls at every half and full hour, but there is a manual night shutoff to silence it during the night. The clock measures 9 x 13 x 19,7 inches (23 x 33 x 50 cm).
When the music starts playing, the little dancers in their traditional costumes will move around and remind you of the atmosphere you find at German beer festivals. The Black Forest itself is the inspiration for the décor of this Black Forest Cuckoo Clock. The region abounds with birds and the mixed forest contains a large variety of different trees and forest plants. You find that symbolized in this cuckoo clock: maple leaves adorn the frame, on the sides two woodpeckers and a singing bird on top. All the features are hand-carved and hand-painted, of course.
