Our porcelain doll is a pretty boy from Innsbruck measuring 30 cm/11,8 inches including his metal stand that makes it easy to position him wherever you would like to see his friendly smile. His head and limbs are handmade of porcelain while the body is made of soft fabric and stuffed. Our porcelain doll’s handmade clothing is made from fabric used for real traditional costumes.
This porcelain boy wears the classic festive traditional costume from Innsbruck, the capital of the Austrian state Tyrol. His lederhosen reach halfway down the calves and is worn with white woolen socks, a bright white shirt and a simple black tie. The bright red jacket lightens up the rather solemn outfit. The most striking feature, however, is the high black hat. Hats like that can be found on paintings dating back 400 years and the are still worn today, often decorated with flowers. A porcelain doll that will you always remind you of the Tyrolean mountains. Also check out his mate, our Innsbruck girl!
